The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is affecting all of us and the way that we go about our daily lives. This also applies to a trip to the vets with an animal, or to pick up medications, food or other items.

We are taking significant and important steps to minimise community transmission to keep all of us safe. This is very strange for all of us as we have always prided ourselves on being a friendly, warm and social veterinary practice.

BRINGING YOUR PET TO THE HOSPITAL

  • Always make an appointment before arriving.

  • Let us know when you arrive for an appointment by ringing the bell or calling. We will then usher you in, weigh your pet and help you straight into a consultation room. This will minimize the number of persons in our reception/waiting area.

  • Following your appointment we will do all matters usually done at reception in the consult room. This includes organizing medication, extra items such as food and also the receipting process. In this way, once finished then we will be able to usher you out of the room and you can leave the building directly rather than waiting at reception.

  • If you need to pick up extra items such as medications or food then please let us know prior to coming that you will be doing so. In this way we can have things ready for you to minimize waiting times.

Please be advised we are asking that only 1 person attend the hospital with your pet

Please also remember that we are able to perform tele-consultations using all of the major video platforms such as Zoom and Skype.

COLLECTING MEDICATIONS/ITEMS FROM THE HOSPITAL WITHOUT YOUR PET
If you are here to pick up food or medications only then please phone ahead so we can have these ready for you. We can bring this outside to you if you’d prefer and do a contactless payment outside or you can come inside and do this at reception.

Please remember to adhere to social distancing whilst you are visiting. If we all do our part then we can minimize the risks of transmission and stay well and healthy.

IF YOU ARE IN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES THEN PLEASE TELL US

  • you have COVID-19,

  • are in self isolation for suspected COVID-19 or

  • are awaiting COVID-19 test results or

  • have any flu like symptoms such as sore throat, fever, cough or shortness of breath.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. If we all care for each other and work together
we can stay well, healthy during this pandemic.
